Problem with MP4 files & Folder containing MP4 files
whenever i open the video folder for my ipod and select a mp4 file there, my pc hangs for some time - say 2 to 20 minutes. then it gets back to normal.
i thought that was some problem with my lappy until i found out that asa i select a mp4 file, one new process with the name "WLXQuicktimecontrolhost.exe" starts. if i kill this process from the menu, my pc gets back to normal. but the thing is i have to kill this process each n every time i click on a mp4 file. and it only happens with mp4 files. Ps: dont suggest to uninstall quicktime as its required. |

thanks for the suggestion. thats what i have already done. my question is what if i want to associate MP4 files with quick time only? is there any way to byepass that WLX quicktime host process or that will start everytime even if i m not playing a MP4 file, just selecting few to copy on to some other drive.

you have codecs like klite mega stored? vlc opening means it must be codec as vlc comes with certain set of preinstalled codecs.

From Apple Forum :
The villan was Windows Live Photo Gallery which contains WLXQuickTimeControlHost.exe. Removal of Windows Live Photo Gallery solved the problem. You may try this. |
