Rummenigge: "We won't sell anybody in January"

Through his club's official website, Bayern Munich General Manager Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has declared: "If there will be any changes in the squad in the next market? We certainly won't be selling any players. The coach doesn't want to, and I completely agree with him. We have a very small squad with only 20 outfield players, and that's the lowest limit in terms of numbers. I hope we're still competing for silverware on three fronts after Christmas, so at the very least, we need everyone we have at the moment".

Bayern Munich offer Danijel Pranjic to Hamburg - report

With Euro 2012 approaching, the Croatia international could leave the Allianz Arena in order to boost his chances of first team football

Bayern Munich have offered midfielder Danijel Pranjic to Hamburg, according to Kicker.

The 30-year-old joined the Allianz Arena outfit in 2009, starting his career with the Bavarians as a first-team regular, but has since seen his opportunities dwindle, and in the current season has made just five competitive appearances.

Pranjic's contract expires in the summer, and with Euro 2012 approaching, Croatia coach Slaven Bilic is eager for his players to be starting for their respective clubs ahead of the tournament. Accordingly, the former Heerenveen man is said to be interested in finding employment elsewhere.

If he wishes to move, Pranjic may face resistance from his club. Last month, Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said that there would be no January sales, and coach Jupp Heynckes is eager to keep his squad together, citing the importance of depth to rival clubs.

"If [Nuri] Sahin plays no role for Real Madrid, having been outstanding last season in the Bundesliga, then it says a lot about the possibilities of the club," the 66-year-old said.

"And Barcelona changed 11 players against BATE and still won 4-0," he added, referring to the Catalan side's recent Champions League victory.

Bayern Munich extended their lead at the top of the Bundesliga with a 2-1 win over Stuttgart over the weekend, and can confirm their place at the summit of the table over the winter break with a point against Koln on December 16.

Germany's Joachim Low: Bayern Munich can play at the same level as Barcelona and Real Madrid

The 51-year-old Germany coach feels that the two Spanish giants are currently the benchmark in football, but is confident that the Bavarian side are not far behind

Germany coach Joachim Low believes that Real Madrid and Barcelona are the best two club sides in the world at the moment, but is convinced that Bayern Munich are capable of matching the Spanish sides.

Low was in attendance at the Santiago Bernabeu as Barca triumphed 3-1 over Madrid in the Spanish capital on Saturday, and the 51-year-old believes the talent on show makes the fierce rivals the best teams on the planet.

"So far this season, Barcelona and Real Madrid are at the highest level. This includes comparisons in England, where I've seen some games.

"But let's not forget Bayern Munich. Bayern are capable of playing at that level," Low told German newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung.

Low then went on to praise Madrid coach Jose Mourinho for closing the gap on Barcelona.

"Real Madrid have become one unit, capable of coping with Barcelona. It says a lot about the coach."

Hertha Berlin ponder move for Bayern Munich's Breno - report

The Brazilian defender has been struggling to get regular first team action at FCB and could be on the move

reno could be on his way out of Bayern Munich in the January transfer window as Hertha Berlin are considering making a move for the Brazilian defender, local paper BZ reports.

Hertha are keen to sign a new defender because of the expected lengthy absence of Maik Franz due to a cruciate ligament tear, and the Berlin side see the 22-year-old Breno as a suitable replacement.

Breno joined Bayern from Sao Paulo in January 2008, but has never been able to make an impact at the Bavarians due to a string of injuries.

The centre-back has yet to make his first official appearance for FCB in the 2011-12 campaign, having been placed in remand under suspected arson of his villa, and is reportedly eager to move on in order to relaunch his career.

His contract with Bayern expires at the end of the current season, and given his current situation, the German record champions could be willing to let him go.

Baichung to play farewell match against Bayern Munich

Former India captain Baichung Bhutia will play his farewell match against Bayern Munich at the capital's Nehru Stadium on January 10, next year.

The event is being organised by the AIFF in association with Audi India.
